In Hinduism, Shakti is the Hindu goddess responsible for creation and all dynamic forces in the universe. She is also called the Great Divine Mother of The Universe.
Goddess Tara Devi puja frees one from debt, bestows comforts, kindness, serenity, peace, nurturing the wisdom, power of protection, knowledge and gives awesome results and helps achieve wealth and prosperity in life. This puja is to be done to mitigate evil effects of Brihaspati (Jupiter) dosha to get rid from misery and annoyance from above mentioned causes. Hindu religion allows the freedom to worship any deity they feel a personal connection (Bhaktia) towards. However, picking the right idol for your home is a complex task because sometimes she is Saumya (calm) and the others Rudra (fierce). In Hinduism, Tara is a Tantric fierce goddess hence experts suggest to avoid bringing it in your household shrine.
But she has a different appearance in Hinduism and Buddhism where she considered the “Mother of all Buddhas” by Indian tantric Buddhists, taking on this epithet from Prajnaparamita. The term mother of Buddhas usually refers to transcendent awakened wisdom, though it also echoes the ancient Indian motif of the Mothers Goddess (Devi Mata). In Hindu Tantra (Shaktism) she appears as a yogini among the ten Mahavidyas as Rudra appearance but in Buddhism Tara is treated as a female Buddha and her appearance is Saumya.
Keeping the Buddhist concept in mind, I have copied an original 13th to 14th Century Buddhist deity Tara sited on Lotus. Bodhisattva Manjushri in the form of Sita Manjughoshri of Tibet, a Saumya idol which every one can worship in house.
